Artist Bio
JOY PURCELL has lived and created in Taos since 1991. She loves experimenting with a variety of forms and media: sketching, encaustic, collage, stone and wax sculpture, photography, printings in various forms and book making. She finds that new forms naturally evolve through experimentation and loves trying new processes and tweaking results. She believes that creative problem solving often takes you to new, fantastic places you might not otherwise have found and she enjoys new ways of seeing and expressing emotion through art. When not in Taos, she’s traveling or enjoying Palm Springs California.
