NeoRio, (2009, 2010 and now 2011) is a unique outdoor annual event celebrating art, nature, culture and community set at the Wild Rivers Recreation Area, Questa, New Mexico, part of the 235,980 acre proposed Rio Grande del Norte National Conservation Area. Created as a platform for innovative ecological artists, NeoRio is also an opportunity for cross-pollination between artists, conservationists, and others interested in protecting and celebrating the many aspects of our communities and wild lands. Hosted by the Bureau of Land Management’s Taos Field Office, NeoRio is organized by us, LEAP (Land, Experience and Art of Place), in collaboration with the Bureau of Land Management, John Wenger of Wild Earth Studio, the New Mexico Wilderness Alliance, the Village of Questa and others.
